For a week, students manage a global business, making decisions, explain their decisions and strategies and justify their strategic choice to their shareholders. In teams, students make decisions in a dynamic and competitive world.
The purpose of this course is to get students to know and to understand the specific contribution of marketing to the management of the firm and to enable them to identify and use basic concepts. Its ambition is to show how marketing is a state of mind, an approach and a set of techniques in the pursuit of objectives.
This course provides a first immersion in the heart of the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship: it is to explore the various facets to understand the realities of professional ecosystems to which they refer, but also to understand the keys to the entrepreneurial mindset (to identify and work skills that will later allow students to be effective and sought for the added value of this state of mind). Today, whatever the career envisaged, students will face the need to innovate (to survive, develop, stand, etc.), only or more. To accompany the students in this discovery, several important issues are discussed, the image of the different ways to develop innovations, main points of innovation or even strategic networks that may be important to create. However, to playfully raise awareness to a higher degree, students should also develop a disruptive innovation. This collaborative work will encourage them to wonder more about entrepreneurial keys, ranging from adequacy man/project to the concept of feasibility of business ideas, passing by the constitution teams and specificity of entrepreneurial practices. Because at the end of the account, we should not forget that entrepreneurs are not only creators, the image of "intrapreneurs" and "developers business" who's mission is to revitalize existing businesses by searching for new markets and new growth drivers.
The modern world is a world of figures and evaluations: you have to know how to read, understand, and pass them on. It is precisely the role of statistics to convey these messages.
This course pursues a twofold objective:
(1) raise awareness among students of the personal implications related to entrepreneurship. Experience shows that aspects related to the coherence between man and project are too often overlooked with regard to those relating to the project - market consistency.
2) offer students the tools needed for the construction of a Business Model (BM). The project managers must be able to precisely describe the BM for their future company. It is indeed by the latter that a global vision of the activity will take shape and that the individual demonstrates a mastery of how it will create value.
